Whether you’re a long-time member or a new face to the Society, this day is designed to inspire your love for the game and its rich heritage.
The Day at a Glance
Tee Off for 18 Holes
We’ll meet for tea/coffee in the clubhouse at Elie ahead of our first tee time at 11:10am, ready to enjoy a fantastic round of golf. Elie will be the perfect way to dust off the winter cobwebs and connect with fellow members over our shared passion for the game.
One-Course Lunch
After the round, refuel with a hearty one-course lunch, an opportunity to relax, socialise, and relive the day’s highlights.
Hickory Golf Workshop & Factory Tour
A short 15-minute drive will take us to a Hickory Golf Workshop, where the magic of golf’s past comes to life. Over the course of an hour, we’ll delve into the history and craftsmanship of hickory clubs. Learn how these beautiful pieces of equipment were made, see examples of clubs in various stages of restoration, and hear stories that connect us to the roots of our game.
For those with extra time, we’ll also offer a short guided tour of the St Andrews Golf Co. factory, a unique chance to explore the legacy of golf’s finest craftsmanship.
